Humans racist against the human species
The more intelligent and successful the human species becomes, the more self-deprecating we seem to want to be. First we began never-ending apologies for cultures and countries our ancestors once conquered, and now we are obsessed with asking forgiveness to the Earth itself for our domination as a species.
You’ve heard the cries: We’re killing the planet! We have to end fossil fuels or our species will be extinct within a few decades! We are over-populated! There is too much pollution! The world is warming! The climate is changing! GMOs are killing us! Coral reefs in the oceans are beyond repair! The seas are full of plastics!
If you think these roars are new, think again. People have been crying wolf about the planet ending since the industrial revolution. Humans are the only species on earth ever, that knows we are on earth. We are the only species to know where earth is, or for that matter what a sun, galaxy or universe is. We’re the only species, which realizes that we will one day die or that our species will go extinct. When we begin to go extinct, we will be the first species ever in the history of the planet to know that is even happening . . . and 99.9 per cent of earth’s species are already extinct.
I guess what I am trying to say here is, maybe it is time to give humans a little credit. . . . contd.
