Sunshine Villa turns nine
Tofield’s Sunshine Villa turned nine on Monday, Aug. 31.
“To ensure that we all follow the COVID-19 pandemic guidelines, we had a wee party outdoors,” said Julie Ishida, activity coordinator at the Villa. “We played a relay race game in front of the building, and there were sun-themed door prizes for everyone in attendance!”
Twenty-six residents of the Villa joined in the outdoor celebration, with staff also being a part of it.
“The kitchen staff made yellow cupcakes, with a sunshine decoration on top, and we served iced tea with the cupcakes,” Ishida added. “We sang Happy Birthday and You Are My Sunshine; and spoke about how residents first heard about the Sunshine Villa and shared stories about their stay and other anecdotes!” . . . contd.
