Ryley Lions Club awards scholarship to Logan Oslund

Ryley Lions Club awarded Ryley’s Logan Oslund of the final graduating class of Ryley High School a scholarship of $500. Oslund also received an additional scholarship of $500 from the Lions of Alberta Foundation Legacy Scholarship program to assist him with his studies at the University of Alberta Augustana Campus.

According to Secretary Andre Nimchuk, Ryley Lions Club has been involved in the Lions Legacy Scholarship program for a number of years.

“The program has been available to Ryley High School students in Grade 12 who would be entering a post-secondary program,” he explained. “Applicants are required to submit documents such as transcripts, reference letters, and volunteerism summaries.

“Our club would present dollar amounts dependent on the number of applicants each year. This past year our applicant received $500 from our club and an additional $500 from the Lions of Alberta Foundation supplementary scholarship program.”
