STARS responds to collision off Hwy. 14 and 630

The Tofield RCMP responded to 32 occurrences from Jan. 18 to Jan. 24, 2021 (inclusive). Also included in these calls for service was four motor vehicle collisions with wildlife, four false alarms, six traffic complaints and traffic enforcement provided by the K Division Traffic Unit.

On Jan. 18, Tofield RCMP responded to a suspicious person complaint in Beaver County. RCMP arrived on scene and spoke to a female who disclosed that she was assaulted by her x-boyfriend, Jason Anderson, and during the assault, Anderson stole her black Dodge Ram truck. On Jan. 19, Tofield RCMP charged and issued a warrant for the arrest of Jason Anderson of Rocky Mountain House, for the following charges:

1) Assault contrary to Section 266 of the Criminal Code; and

2) Theft of a motor vehicle contrary to Section 333.1 of the Criminal Code.

On Jan. 19, Tofield RCMP responded to a commercial break and enter in Ryley. RCMP attended and found that a number of tools and equipment were stolen. This file is still under investigation. . . . contd.
