Tofield’s Kylie Kuflay wins Ethel Brown Memorial Scholarship
Tofield School’s Kylie Kuflay, Class of 2020 was the recipient of Ethel Brown Memorial Scholarship, rumoured to be awarded for the last time. According to staff Rick Bobier, many of the scholarships have been hit hard because of COVID-19 and the pandemic might have an impact on the contributions they were known to make.
The Ethel Brown Memorial awarded Kuflay with $1,000, which she used to pay for her first year at University.
A well-known face in the community, Kuflay was a student reporter at the Tofield Mercury and helped out in many ways both within the school and the community.
