Theft of vehicle license plate in Ryley

The Tofield RCMP responded to 49 occurrences from April 12 to 18, 2021 (inclusive). Also included in these calls for service were eleven traffic complaints/tickets, four false alarms, one traffic collision, thirteen suspicious persons/vehicle complaints and traffic enforcement provided by the K Division Traffic Unit.

On April 13, Tofield RCMP responded to a theft of license plate complaint in Ryley. RCMP found that the plate was stolen from a vehicle parked on the street. This file is still under investigation.

On April 13, Tofield RCMP responded to a report of online fraud. RCMP spoke to the complainant who advised that they attempted to put a deposit to purchase a puppy on Kijiji. When they became suspicious of the seller, they cancelled their deposit and fortunately were not victim of any monetary loss. This file is still under investigation.

On April 14, Tofield RCMP responded to an uttering threats complaint in Beaver County. RCMP spoke to the complainant who advised that they had received a threatening telephone call from an unknown person(s). This file is still under investigation.

On April 14, Tofield RCMP responded to a suspicious male complaint in Beaver County. RCMP arrived and the complainant stated that when they went to go to work in the morning . . . contd.
