Break-ins and mischiefs keep Tofield RCMP busy

The Tofield RCMP responded to 49 occurrences from May 17 to 23, 2021 (inclusive). Also included in these calls for service were 19 traffic complaints/tickets, four false alarms, one traffic collision, five suspicious person/vehicle complaints and traffic enforcement provided by the K Division Traffic Unit.

On May 17, Tofield RCMP responded to a noise complaint in Beaver County. Tofield RCMP attended and spoke to the complainant who advised that a nearby gun range has been an ongoing issue and concern for noise. The complainant was advised to get in touch with Bylaw to discuss options/remedies.

On May 18, Tofield RCMP attempted a traffic stop on a silver Honda car in Beaver County and the driver of the vehicle failed to stop. This file is still under investigation.

On May 18, Tofield RCMP responded to a suspicious person/vehicle complaint in Tofield. RCMP attended the location and located a vehicle, a silver Toyota Celica, with a license plate that did not match. Two persons on scene were arrested and released and the vehicle was seized for further investigation. This file is still under investigation.

On May 18, Tofield RCMP responded to a domestic assault complaint in Tofield. RCMP arrived on scene, spoke to witnesses and the persons involved and found that a verbal argument between two domestic partners turned physical. This file is still under investigation. . . . contd.
