The Spooky Tree
You know those trees with naked branches reaching crookedly into the night sky? It’s always a night sky because the trees are in front of a spooky, obviously demon-filled house, and the branches move, like they are preparing to snatch up hapless dog walkers. There are probably flying bats and maybe a black cat with an arched back and orange eyes. It’s either Halloween or we’re looking at a preview for a horror movie where teenagers who should know better are creeping down creaky stairs to investigate weird noises in the basement. Yeah, that tree. The spooky one. I think it has taken root in our back yard.
I’m not sure what that says about our house. So far the only weird noises coming from the basement are snores resembling angry bees in a tussle with Bigfoot when Hubby is catching a nap he’ll deny later. . . . contd.
