Tofield Interfaith and Community Council’s Community Day of Service a success
After being cancelled once, the Tofield Interfaith and Community Council (TICC) was able to engage members and volunteers on Saturday, June 26 in their Community Day of Service.
“I have a vision of people from all faiths and diverse backgrounds and identities working together for a common goal,” said Dan Hillyer, Council Chair. “We can set aside our differences and connect in improving our community.”
And that’s exactly what his team did he said on the Community Day of Service.
In 2019, they had their first annual with 40 volunteers from a few different church groups and community members. They repaired picnic tables and helped build community garden boxes for the local Food Bank. . . . contd.
