Tofield Municipal Library gets new Manager

The Tofield Library has hired a new manager, Theresa Rawe, who started yesterday, July 6.

As a self-proclaimed bookworm, Rawe said that the decision to be a librarian only became clearer to her when she finished her University studies.

“Despite being a bookworm while growing up and loving going to the public library, becoming a librarian was not something that occurred to me until after I completed my university study. Researching was my favourite part of completing my assignments and once I learned more about what librarians do on a day to day basis, I thought it was the perfect fit. I enjoyed the idea of being able to connect people to whatever information they were looking for.”

She has worked in libraries for nine years, after receiving her Library and Information Technology diploma from MacEwan University in Edmonton. . . . contd.
