Heat, Rain, and Hornets
This summer I have not spent any more time on our back deck than it takes to cross from the back door to the stairs leading to the walk. My reasons are threefold, the first being the uncommon hot temperatures. I hate the cold of winter but also dislike summertime temps over 22 degrees. I read somewhere that plus 22 Celsius is the same as 72 Fahrenheit and 72 is plenty hot for me. Put me outside when it’s over 30 and I melt like a Popsicle left on a car dashboard. Neither is a pretty sight and I’m the stickier of the two.
Coming in at a close second is rain. . . . contd.
