Positive ticketing gets smiles
The ‘positive ticketing’ program, which started in July has been a huge success with the Tofield and area community, according to Sgt. Lee Knelsen of the Tofield detachment, and until now the Tofield RCMP has given out 15 tickets.
“We have received great feedback so far,” Knelsen said. “It appears to be easier than I initially thought it would be to issue positive paperwork to the youth when they are out and about in the communities during summer.”
This past week community members took to local social media pages to appreciate the gesture, and how their kids were “over the moon” about being stopped and ticketed positively. . . . contd.
