Former councillor wins Ryley by-election

Ryley elected their new councillor in a by-election on Monday, Feb. 28, electing Brian Ducherer over Donna Pitre, 78-44.

Ducherer who was not elected in the fall election last year said he was thrilled to win a seat again, giving him the opportunity once more to serve the community of Ryley.

“I would like to thank the residents of Ryley for their support and trust in voting me back to council,” he said. “I believe that my experience and knowledge of past councils will help move the community of Ryley into the future. This council has stated they are a working council and I want to learn exactly what that means and work towards that goal along with them.” . . . contd.
