Strathcona Country RCMP General Investigation Section arrest individual for child pornography
Strathcona County RCMP General Investigation Section (GIS) were notified of a resident, living in Sherwood Park, who was believed to be in possession of child pornography and had distributed it online. Following a joint investigation between Strathcona County RCMP GIS and Alberta RCMP Internet Child Exploitation Unit, on Dec. 19, 2024, police executed a search warrant on a residence in Sherwood Park and arrested the suspect.
Krystal Dawn Davies, a 52-year-old resident of Sherwood Park, has been charged with the following offences:
- Possession of child pornography;
- Distribution of child pornography.
Davies was taken before a Justice of the Peace and released on a release order with conditions. She is scheduled to appear at the Alberta Court of Justice in Sherwood Park on Jan. 8, 2025.
