Satellites move to 8-2 with 4-3 OT win at Big Valley, hold onto first place

Tofield Satellites leading scorer Brett Holmberg scored with two minutes remaining in the game to tie things at 3-3, and then got another on his first shift of OT to give the visitors a 4-3 win.

The victory moved the Satellites four points in front of Daysland (6-2) in first place with an 8-2 record but the Northstars have two games in hand.

Daysland plays Big Valley tonight (Saturday) which could lead up to a first place showdown in Tofield on Sunday at 6:30 pm.

Both teams were shorthanded in the Satellites/Big Valley game with Tofield only having 11 skaters. Only two penalties were called the whole game, both against the Oil Kings.
