An “I Never Cook” Cook – by Carol Livingstone – Loose Ends Column
Sometimes I’m a scratch cook but most times, I’m not.
Mostly, I’m a lazy cook; if I could get away with it, I’d be an ‘I never cook’ cook.
Unfortunately, in order to live, one must eat, and that means cooking, because neither ordering in nor dining out every day are within our budget.
Thanks to leftovers, my lackadaisical attitude fits right in with this time of year.
I may have had to do the scratch thing when it came to turkey and all the trimmings for Christmas and ham with many of the same trimmings plus a couple of strays for New Year’s, but both meals meant I had plenty of food left over for no-scratch meals.
