Satellites make incredible 3rd period comeback to eliminate Sabres with 6-4 win on the road
Ryan Olson scored with 1:34 remaining to give the Tofield Satellites their first lead of the game, and then added an empty netter to eliminate the Sedgewick Sabres with a 6-4 win and 3-1 best-of-five series victory at Sedgewick Arena, Friday.
Satellites were down 3-1 in game 4 entering the third period before Jesse Van Dalfsen scored early in the final frame. Tofield’s Jeff Bienvenue tied the game at 3-3 at 7:53 of the third.
Sabres regained the lead at 12:47 on a Dru Morrison marker.
Tofield’s Chad Urschel connected to tie the game at 4-4 late before Olson’s thrilling go-ahead winner.
