Trade Fair and Vendors Market a nice addition to Promenade
This year a new venture was launched for the Sodbuster Rodeo Promenade, always held on the Friday evening to kick off the rodeo weekend.
The Trade Fair and Vendors Market was a great hit with people coming in to enjoy a refreshment, or pie and coffee, while they socialized and took a break from all the fun that was going on outside on main street Tofield. Then they could look around at the 25 plus retail and home-based businesses that were participating inside the hall.
The Best Dressed Western “Under 10” contest was also held in the hall and everyone enjoyed watching as the little tykes took to the stage to be judged on whether they were the best dressed little cowboy or cowgirl.
There was also entertainment taking place in the hall entrance and many people stopped to enjoy the old-time music from an old-time band, from very young to older. The market was a true success story for the organizers and participants alike… For more see the June 3/14 issue of the Tofield Mercury
