Kingman Rink of Dreams project seeks public’s help

The Kingman Recreation Association has started what it calls the “Rink of Dreams” project to enhance an already well used outdoor rink in the small community.

The association wants the facility to be used year-round for skating in the winter and equestrian sports in the summer.

The board has already raised $72,000 of the expected $313,000 that will be needed to complete the project, said Rink of Dreams Committee member Trent Kenyon. This has been done through grant funds, and through corporate and private donations.

“We only really need about $100,000 to $120,000 (worth) of actual community involvement,” he said, explaining that local donations and sponsorships will be used to obtain matching grants.
