Holden Council Votes to Install Security Cameras in key areas of village
Council voted Jan. 18 to install five security cameras at what is called “key points” in the village. The cameras were in the process of being installed on Jan. 22.
The cameras are in response to alarm expressed at a community meeting in Holden that thefts and other crimes were on the rise.
The community agreed to form a watch organization, and the idea of security cameras to keep an eye out for residents was also discussed at that time.
Holden Community Watch was formed and held a highly successful bottle drive Jan. 9, raising $343 to help with the new organization’s goal of keeping the community safer and more secure.
