Holden Ag Society fundraiser for injured girl hit by truck
The Holden Ag Society has stepped up to help a local family whose 12-year-old was hit by a truck while walking along Highway 855 on the evening of Feb. 23.
Nevaeh Charette-Vogelaar left her home but failed to return that night. Her mother, Renee Charette, later reported that Nevaeh had been hit in the back of the head by the truck’s mirror, causing a head and spinal injury.
The family has been spending their time at the Stollery Children’s Hospital where Nevaeh has been slowly recovering.
Christine Suchy, President of the Holden Ag Society, immediately went to work to try and help the family by organizing a fundraising pancake breakfast.
