Tofield floor curlers host Alberta Association tournament

Sixty-four curlers participated in Tofield’s Alberta Floor Curling Tournament held last Thursday.

This is the second tournament held by the Tofield Floor Curling Club, with last year’s an invitational.

This year, sixteen teams participated from Tofield, Mundare, Vegreville, Kinsella, Onoway, Sherwood Park, Ardrossan and Edmonton.

“The club became a member this year,” said Linda Danilak, one of the organizers, referring to the local club’s membership in the Alberta Floor Curling Association. “We have 12 paid members who belong to the association, plus 30 to 50 seniors who come out every Monday afternoon to curl.
