Tofield community gets behind Gravity Dance Force’s Disney fundraiser
It was a class act hosted by the Gravity Dance Force Studio on Saturday evening, June 9 as guests and visitors came together to support their Disney trip fundraiser.
“It was a huge success and we’re so very thankful for such a supportive community for joining us,” said Twyla Taylor, principal instructor and owner of the studio. “I am beyond thrilled with the number of people who attended, which is a reflection of how our community supports the arts and our children; to help educate them, to help them explore dance in other countries; and give them the opportunity and support to do so.”
Among the acts were Sugar Swing of Edmonton with Maggie, Zarina, Luke, and Berkley; Next Step Tappers with Hannah, Amy, Vinny, and Brendan; Motives Dance and Fitness directed by Brett Bowser; Vegreville School of Ballet directed by Laura Fleming; Ballerina performed by Whinnie Lang; Lyrical soloist from Gravity Dance Force by Nova-Leigh; Tap Duet from Gravity by Jorja Taylor and Parker Larin; Someone in the Crowd by Leigh, Taylor, and Parker; with the final number being a song by Larin: Love on the Brain. However, it wasn’t the closing act.
The closing act was a performance by Oilers’ Joey Moss, who tap danced solo, before being joined by Twyla on the dance floor.
