Tofield Bantams crash out of league in semis

Tofield Bantams played a great game of ball in Vegreville but unfortunately lost out to the home team 5-2, crashing out of the league.

This past week, Tofield played Lamont in a home game and beat them 20-5.

“With such a short season we were only able to have a couple of practices, but we try and work on all the fundamentals as much as possible, and we’ve seen improvement in all areas – catching, batting and base running,” said Head Coach Stan Yuha. “I think our forte is our pitching; it’s always nice to have a few options when it comes to pitching.”

At the outset, according to Yuha, it was the batting that needed focus, but the team did a good job and has shown great improvement in that area.
