Ryley Cold Beer Store broken into

During the past week Tofield RCMP responded to 47 calls for service. Included in the calls for service were four motor vehicle collisions and a 911 hangup.

On Jan. 3, a resident of Ryley noticed the front door to the Ryley Cold Beer Store was damaged. The owners and RCMP attended the location and found the front door smashed and several items were out of place. On checking the video surveillance, three suspects in a car broke in and stole several bottles of alcohol.

The same day Georges Harness and Saddlery in Ryley also had an attempted break and enter. The suspects attempted to break in through the back door but were unsuccessful.

On Jan. 3, Tofield RCMP received a call of a burnt vehicle on Rge. Rd. 163 south of Hwy. 14. The RCMP attended and located the vehicle which on investigation, was found to have been stolen out of Lac La Biche. . . . contd.
