Tofield Bantams shine in Camrose tournament

The Tofield Bantams participated in a weekend Camrose tournament, playing some great games, according to Coach Wayne Codd.

“This team just keeps on getting better and it’s fun to watch,” said Codd. “They have curved their penalty minutes with discipline and added a bunch of Ws to our season.”

Their first game was against hosts Camrose in which they scored the first three goals, but the Camrose team put on a big push towards the end of the second and the result after a great battle ended up being a 6-4 loss. Point getters were: Zach Lungal (2G), Jackson Gates (1G 2A), Davin Codd (1G), Ben Jennings (2A), Marshal Korpak (1A).

“This tournament had shoot-outs at the end of each game in the round robin for DQ dilly bars,” Codd added. “With Josh Whitbread defending our net and two goals from Carson Suchy and one goal from Ben Jennings, we were able to indulge ourselves with ice cream after a 3-2 win.” . . . contd.
