Tofield School welcomes new librarian

Tofield School has welcomed a new librarian, Stephanie Gould earlier this year.

Gould said she spent her first week at the school getting to know the students and staff.

“I like to be creative and help people,” said Gould. “I don’t ever want to have a job where I sit at a desk all day; I need to be artistic, and do something new or fun.”

Gould has had past experience in this career, having taken her practicum at Fort Saskatchewan Elementary School.

Her most recent librarian job was at the Cross Cancer Institute for Alberta Health Services as a library technician.

Now, Tofield School is a new opportunity for her to enjoy and learn from she said.

“The school is quite close to where I live so my commute is much easier,” added Gould. “I embrace the idea of working with older, and more mature students; it is a different experience than my previous positions.” . . . contd.
