Tofield Legion celebrates Robbie Burns legacy

The Tofield Legion celebrated the birth and legacy of the Scottish poet and lyricist Robert Burns or ‘Robbie’ Burns on Saturday evening, Jan. 26 with the Tofield and area community.

“It has been a long-term Legion tradition, which was upheld on Saturday,” said Legion secretary Bonnie Ferguson.

According to Ferguson, President Barbara Ferguson had the honour of carrying the haggis to the front and reciting the English version of the ‘Address to a Haggis.’
