A generous total of $9,441 for Christmas Hamper was raised

This past year, the Christmas Hamper campaign raised a total of $9,441, which is a huge reflection of the generosity of the Tofield and area community and local businesses such as the IGA.

“We extend a huge thank you to the community and Dave Hare for supporting the Community Christmas Hampers program again this year,” said Vanita Eglauer.

The IGA sold $4,325 worth of hampers on Saturday, Dec. 1, and Hare matched that amount adding another $4,325, and with $791 from Breakfast with Santa, the campaign monies added up to a number everyone can be proud of, according to Hare.

“My main involvement is making sure that they get the groceries to build the hampers for the Stuff the Bus day,” said Hare. “I also get them the other groceries that they need for the hampers that get delivered just prior to Christmas.” . . . contd.
