We are focused on creating a better Alberta, says Smook of Alberta Party

Will Tofield’s local candidate and Beaver County councillor Kevin Smook, who is running for Alberta Party be able to give his party an edge in the provincial election and launch leader Stephen Mandel into the universe of political celebrity?

Even though that needs to be seen, Smook is clear on the bigger picture as it stands now.

“While the NDP and UCP seem to be focused on throwing rocks at each other, the Alberta Party is focused on creating a better Alberta, getting our economy back on track, and building a better future,” Smook said.

Hosting a meet-and-greet in Camrose on Saturday morning, where he beat the local opponent to the candidacy, Smook explained that the Alberta Party sees the need to increase enrolment at post-secondary institutions province wide by 45,000 students over the next five years and plans to continue to increase enrolment to keep up with the rise in population.

“We would encourage the expansion of agricultural education in the post-secondary institutions so young people can have a solid foundation as they seek to enter the agriculture industry,” Smook explained. “We also need to continue to provide programs and information offered through Alberta Agriculture.” . . . contd.
