Tofield local resident robbed of sentimental items
During the past week Tofield RCMP responded to 49 calls for service. Included in the calls for service were five motor vehicle collisions and a false alarm.
On May 2, a resident of Tofield called to report a theft from her vehicle. The caller reported suspect(s) broke into the trunk of her car and stole three boxes full of miscellaneous items some of which had sentimental value.
On May 2, Tofield RCMP received a call of an enclosed dump trailer which had been abandoned in a farmer’s field in Beaver County. RCMP attended and located the trailer which had been reported stolen out of Edmonton on April 22. The trailer was recovered and the owner was notified of its recovery.
On May 2, a resident of Beaver County reported his Plymouth Reliant had been stolen from his residence overnight. The following day, the caller attended Maple Leaf Metals in Edmonton and found the vehicle had been sold to the company as scrap metal. Unfortunately the vehicle had been destroyed before the owner or RCMP were able to locate it. . . . contd.
