Multiple break-ins keep Tofield RCMP busy

During the past week Tofield RCMP responded to 45 calls for service. Included in the calls for service were three motor vehicle collisions, and a 911 hangup.

On Sept. 23, a resident of Tofield reported a break and enter to their garage. The suspects damaged the main door, entered the garage and stole multiple items including tools, a shop vac and bikes.

On Sept. 24, Tofield RCMP were on patrol in Tofield and completed a traffic stop on a black Ford pickup truck. The driver of the vehicle was found to have a suspended drivers licence. The driver, a 35-year-old male from Tofield was charged with driving while unauthorized and issued a summons to attend Vegreville Provincial Court. On checking the vehicle, it was found to be loaded with several lengths of copper wire. The vehicle was seized for 30 days.

On Sept. 25, Tofield RCMP and Beaver County Fire received a call of a structure fire at an abandoned residence south of Holden. . . . contd.
