Vehicle with large shed brings down power lines
On Friday, Sept. 27, the Tofield RCMP and Beaver County fire department responded to a hit and run motor vehicle collision in Tofield.
A vehicle towing a large shed/building was travelling south through town and hooked a power line.
Several power poles and attached lines were damaged along 51 St. causing a power outage.
Beaver County Fire remained on scene until the power could be shut off and the area was safe.
The RCMP made patrols for the vehicle but to no avail.
Fifty-first St. remained partially closed until Saturday afternoon when power was restored.
