Tofield celebrates Alberta Culture Days

It was truly a celebration of culture as Tofield and area communities came together to make this year’s Alberta Culture Days a huge success on Friday evening, Sept. 27 at the Tofield Community Hall.

With a scrumptious feast of nearly a dozen different cuisines, guests and visitors at the event couldn’t have asked for a more varied spread.

The dinner at 6 p.m. was followed by entertainment with mostly local and some out-of-town acts.

Emily Sjursen belted out a few numbers for the evening.

Hosted by the Tofield and Area Health Foundation, the event was supported by local businesses and organizations whose donations and support made the evening a memorable one.

“All I wanted to bring to this event was a celebration of the many different cultures we have living right here in the midst of our own community,” said Brenda Chehade, Foundation Chair. “For people to be able to have a taste of the many wonderful foods these different cultures have, and to enjoy the local talent we have right in our own backyard and encourage them to continue and grow their gifts.” . . . contd.

Brenda Chehade, Foundation Chair thanked local businesses and organizations whose donations and support made the event a huge success.
