• Tofield Novice 2 fell to New Sarepta, winning silver in home tournament on Sunday, Jan. 13.

• Tofield’s Busy B continued to show their generosity to the community and leader Yvonne Brown said that their Christmas Hamper dontions would always be close to her heart.

• There was great dissent amidst Town of Tofield’s council members over the fact that the Highway 14 Regional Water Services Commission (WSC) will be charging the Town an additional $10,757 per month.

• More than 100 community members attended the Bardo Lutheran Church’s Annual Pancrêpfle Supper.

• Tofield Christmas Hamper raised a total of $9,441 for the Tofield, Ryley & Area Food Bank.

• On Friday night, Jan. 25, the Tofield and area community got together at the Curling Rink to celebrate their sponsors and to begin a three-day curling weekend as they participated in the Annual Mixed Bonspiel.

• Long-time Tofield resident Mary Brown turned 99 on Saturday, Feb. 2.

• The Tofield Skating Club had a field day as they attended the Stettler Future Stars Funskate Competition on Saturday, Feb. 2. There were 12 participants, who came away with 19 gold medals, five silver, and one bronze. . . . contd.
