Tofield Bantams come up short in home tournament

It wasn’t one of the best tournaments for Tofield Bantams on home ice, but Coach Jeff Van Engelen remains hopeful that his team will see the “light” as the season progresses.

Tofield played four games, and came up short overall.

On Saturday, Tofield played Wetaskiwin, losing 3-4. Connolly Mozak was the lone scorer with assists from Seth Sideroff and Davin Codd.

In their game against Airdrie, Tofield lost 6-8. Connolly Mozak scored twice; other scorers were Davin Codd, Kevin Bartsch, Ryan Conrad, and Seth Sideroff.

On Sunday morning, Tofield took on Mayerthorpe and in the second period, Zach Lungal scored the equalizer, but soon the opponents scored two consecutive goals, before taking the game 5-2 at the end. Evan Suchy scored the other goal at the end of the first period. . . . contd.
