Impaired driver runs into tree in town
Tofield RCMP responded to a total of 34 calls for service in the past week including four traffic complaints and two Motor Vehicle Collisions. Eight violation tickets were issued by K Division Traffic Services who were working in the area during the week.
On the afternoon of Feb. 24 RCMP were requested to do a welfare check on a male in Tofield. The complainant had heard through the grapevine that their brother had passed away but he was never notified. The brother was located alive and well and the complainant was updated.
Also on the afternoon of Feb. 24, RCMP assisted Child and Family Services with checking on a youth in Holden. The youth was found in good spirits and was well taken care of.
Midday on Feb. 25 RCMP responded to a call of mischief to a vehicle in Tofield. Unknown suspects entered a vehicle and damaged the ignition. Suspects were unsuccessful in stealing the vehicle.
A concerned citizen in Tofield reported a suspicious vehicle parked on the street without a license plate. RCMP attended and confirmed the vehicle was not stolen. RCMP exercised discretion and the owner was instructed to park the vehicle in their driveway as it was not registered. . . . contd.
