Tofield Community Market is back for another season

It was a beautiful day this past Saturday, Sept. 19 as vendors came from far and wide to the Tofield Community Hall as part of the first market of the season.

“I feel the market went really well despite being held during the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Sam Stefanizyn, one of the main organizers, besides Brenda Oancia. “We were unsure how it would go, but in the end, we are very happy with it.”

According to Stefanizyn, the number of vendors were around 20, which is a huge decrease in the usual number of tables they have had over the past couple of years.

Leslie Stewart’s Scentsy products are seen here. Stewart, who lives in Tofield runs two home-based businesses – Scentsy and Thirty-One.

“We had to have 20 less tables than usual this time,” she added. “We had to figure out how many tables we could have so that we could follow the guidelines safely.”

Even though there was a steady traffic, some of the vendors felt that it was a slow day.
