Tofield Flys Pink cancelled this year
A mainstay on Tofield’s fundraising calendar, Tofield Flys Pink has been cancelled this year.
Originally scheduled to be held on Sunday, Oct. 4, the co-chairs of Tofield Flys Pink – the Tofield chapter of CIBC Run for the Cure – made the difficult decision to not host the annual walk/run on in conjunction with the national event because of COVID-19 pandemic.
“One of the best parts of the event is the fellowship before and after the walk,” said Mayor Deb Dueck, one of the co-chairs. “The concern is that some of the participants are at risk as they are currently in treatment . . .” contd.
