RCMP impounds vehicle, charges male near Holden

The Tofield RCMP responded to 46 occurrences from October 4 to 11, 2020 including once accidental 911 call, eight traffic complaints, and three Motor Vehicle Collisions. The K Division Traffic Unit in partnership with the Tofield RCMP issued 27 violation tickets for various traffic offences.

On the evening of Oct. 4, Tofield RCMP received a report of a possible B&E to a business in Tofield. RCMP met with the owner of the business and determined the landlord had given the neighbour permission to force entry to the shared building to address an electrical issue for the whole building. Nothing was stolen and matter was mediated by the landlord.

During the afternoon of Oct. 5, Tofield RCMP were dispatched to a motorcycle playing Chicken with on coming traffic along Hwy. 14 near Holden. RCMP performed a traffic stop with a motorcycle matching the description and confirmed the driver was sober and driving properly. The complaint was not willing to provide a witness statement and a warning was issued to the driver. . . . contd.
