Ryley female held against will

The Tofield RCMP responded to 45 occurrences from Oct. 26 to Nov. 1, 2020 (inclusive). Also included in these calls for service was three traffic complaints, two false alarms and traffic enforcement provided by the K Division Traffic Unit.

On Oct. 26, Tofield RCMP responded to a number of 911 complaints made concerning a request to do a wellness check of a person located in the Tofield area. RCMP attended all complaints and were able to confirm that the complaints were unsubstantiated and that the caller was possibly suffering from mental health concerns. Direction provided to the care giver(s) of the complainant and proper use-age of 911.

On Oct. 26, Tofield RCMP responded to a complaint of an attempted theft of a motor vehicle in the Ryley area. RCMP members arrived on scene and confirmed that the vehicle had a damaged ignition and was subsequently seized and towed for examination. This file is still under investigation.

On Oct. 26, Tofield RCMP responded to a domestic situation in Tofield where the homeowner reportedly found a possible recording device located in their home. RCMP responded and were able to confirm the item, identify who placed it there and reasons for the device. This file is still under investigation.

On Oct. 27, Tofield RCMP responded to a 911 call of a female who had reportedly been held against her will . . . contd.
