Hubby and I can’t remember the last time we had pancakes. After a short ponder we decided it must have been back when our kids were actual kids and we spent a lot of summer weekends camping. That puts it maybe 30 or 40 years ago. Those days we always had a big breakfast, bacon and eggs with toast, or pancakes, a hardy feast before we left our site to spend the day on hiking trails and traipsing along creeks or rivers where we stopped for our light packed lunch and to cool off splashing in the water. Good times.

What brought up the memories of pancakes was a radio phone in (well, text in, actually) asking people what their favourite pancake toppings were. . . . contd.
