Recently a friend asked me what I missed most since Covid took the normal out of our lives. I said the freedom to come and go as desired. Who knew that a trip to the drugstore without worrying about forgetting the six foot rule or that some unmasked person might cough on me would become a special treat? Just one of the many little things we took for granted before the world went sideways.

Things like smiles; you can’t see those behind the masks. And they can’t see yours. We’re missing the sunshine that face to face, in person communication with real live people brought into our lives.

Like touching, a simple handshake upon greeting or placing a comforting hand on a friend’s arm to let them know that you care. And talking. I actually feel like I’m losing the ability . . . contd.
