Accident between truck and CN train in Beaver County caused by impaired driving

The Tofield RCMP responded to 51 occurrences from March 8 – 14, 2021 (inclusive). Also included in these calls for service were 26 traffic complaints/tickets and traffic enforcement provided by the K Division Traffic Unit.

On March 9, Tofield RCMP responded to a suspicious person complaint in Holden. RCMP attended and spoke to the complainant who advised that they had witnessed a person walk by their trailer with a dog and that this is a recurring issue. RCMP confirmed that this was not a police issue as there was no indication of a criminal act. It is suspected that alcohol may be a contributing factor.

On March 10, Tofield RCMP responded to an uttering threats complaint in Beaver County. RCMP spoke to the complainants who advised that a past tenant had recently contacted them for an alleged outstanding debt that was owed and had made some threatening comments to the individuals. RCMP located and spoke to the suspect and advised them of the potential for criminal code charges if this behaviour and communication continues.
