Battle River-Crowfoot MP hosts Zoom Town Hall

Battle River Crowfoot MP held a virtual Town Hall meeting on Friday, March 12, moving away from his Facebook live format to a Zoom platform.

He said, “I have done a number of Facebook Live events, but not everyone has Facebook, and I wanted to make sure as many people as possible could participate, especially in the challenging times that we are in; as a region, as a province, and as a country.”

Kurek said his intent is to connect with as many people as possible.

He gave an overview of what’s been happening over the past while, reporting from Ottawa, and said he’s had some very busy days.

Kurek is a member of the Standing Committee on Public Safety and National Security, working on border issues, quarantine issues and more. He made reference to an ongoing debate about quarantine hotel issues, stating, “The Minister was asked for answers, and couldn’t, or wouldn’t, provide them. It’s essential to ensure that people’s rights and freedoms are being respected.” . . . contd.
