Celebrating Seniors’ Week
Seniors across the province are annually recognized via Seniors’ Week from June 7 to 13.
Tofield and Beaver County West FCSS has partnered with Beaver County Community Adult Learning Program to celebrate seniors in Tofield and Beaver County West areas.
They will be spreading ‘Random Acts of Kindness’ throughout the week. “It is important we acknowledge our seniors; which makes Seniors’ Week a great opportunity to honour and recognize all that they have contributed to making our families, communities, and our province stronger,” said Tracey Boast-Radley, Director of Tofield and Beaver County West FCSS.
It’s been an Alberta tradition dating back 35 years, according to Josephine Pon, Minister of Seniors and Housing.
“Seniors built Alberta, and we owe them so much. Seniors matter in our lives each and every day. They are not only our parents or grandparents, but they are also mentors, friends, volunteers, colleagues at work, and a kind and considerate boss!” . . . contd.
