Nonstop entertainment at 39th annual Pysanka Festival in Vegreville
Splendid warm prairie weather brought thousands of entertainment seekers to the 39th annual Vegreville Pysanka Festival on the July 6th weekend.
Billed as Western Canada’s “Largest Ukrainian showcase,” the festival delivered nonstop entertainment for all ages.
Four grandstand performances with the likes of Tryzub dance ensemble from Calgary, Viter dance and Folk Choir from Edmonton, and two performances from the cast of “So You Think You Can Dance Canada” thrilled the nearly capacity grandstand at the Vegreville Agricultural Grounds.
Special guest Innessa Tymochko from Ukraine dazzled the audience with her unique and fast paced fiddle music ending with the crowd giving her efforts a standing ovation.
