Tofield artist to exhibit at the Whyte Avenue Art Walk

Tofield artist, Michael Mikulin, will be showcasing his ‘curved’ works of art at the Edmonton’s Whyte Avenue Art Walk held at the Army and Navy Department Store in the downtown core.

What sets Mikulin’s art apart is his emphasis on the ‘curved surfaces’ he works on.

“I remember seeing one in the States many years ago, and that left an impression on me, inspiring me to make my own, and so far so good,” said Mikulin, who is getting ready to exhibit at the end of July. “Of all the art I’ve looked at and engaged in, I have not seen another ‘curved painting’! I think they are unique and they stand out against a host of other works of art.”

So far he has painted quite a few, and speaking of one of his recent works, called ‘Soul of the World’, Mikulin explained how it was inspired by Italian Renaissance artist, Leonardo da Vinci’s ‘Salvator Mundi’ painting. . . . contd.
