Battle River-Crowfoot MP Kurek ready

After a whirlwind election campaign, Battle River Crowfoot incumbent Damien Kurek watched the federal election results with his family in front of his own television for the first time.

Kurek was returned to parliament with 71.3 per cent of the total vote; winning 41,805 out of the 58,630 total ballots.

While Elections Canada has not yet released the full statistics for 2021, in 2019 there were 62,712 total ballots cast in the riding, out of 81,123 eligible voters. In 2019, Kurek received 85.5 per cent of the vote.

Kurek said, “Over the course of this campaign it became painfully clear how much division there is across this country, whether it’s region against region or different segments of the population against different segments, whatever the case is, there is significant division.
