Teams came to Tofield from the communities of Tofield, Camrose, Spruce Grove and Sherwood Park in the Bantam division, as well as Tofield, St. Albert, North East Edmonton and New Sarepta in the Midget division for the two home teams’ Nov. 27-29 hockey tournament.

Beaver County Reeve Kevin Smook and the rest of county council addressed road and bridge issues with Alberta Transportation officials at last week’s rural municipal convention in Edmonton.

Smook reported that the intersection at Highway 14 and Secondary Highway 834 east of Tofield was also discussed. Transportation told council that re-routing construction for that location is “on their radar,” he said.
